At age 79, the prospect of scraping and painting my nineteenth century home one more time was not inviting. I contracted United Home Experts of Ashland, MA to install composite siding which I preferred to other choices. UHE, in turn, sub-contracted the work to IS Enterprises of Milford, MA. Sidnei and his cousin, John, arrived on time and began several days of work from 8 am to 6 pm. They adapted the installation to the peculiarities of my more than a century old home. Their work was thoughtful and impeccable. They were cheerful, energetic and obviously took concern for the quality of their work. At the end of each day the area was thoroughly clean and orderly. An added dimension was the arrival of Sidnei’s wife, Roseanne, and his wonderful children, Isadora and Samuel. In observing my home they took great pride in the work that was done. I felt that I was not only employing a company but contributing to a loving, close knit family. Once the siding was complete, Sidnei and John installed a very large, very heavy 5′ X 8′ thermo pane window. My home is now much better looking and will be warmer. I can put the putty knife and paint brush aside. It’s very hard to impress this old guy. FAQ

Do you charge to come to my house and get a quote?

No. First we go to your house to understand your needs, then we measure all the work to calculate the value and none of these services have a cost for the customer.

Do I have to pay everything at once?

No, you can pay 50% in advance, 30% on the day the work starts and 20% when it is finished. These amounts can be made by check, bank deposit or cash, we do not work with cards.

Is my presence required during the renovation?

We understand that you are a busy person and are not always at home. Therefore, your presence is not required during the renovation. Most of our clients provide us with access to their homes during their absence.

How should I prepare for a makeover service?

If it is a door or window change, we ask that our customers leave the space where we will work as free as possible. If it is an external job such as changing the siding, we always ask to remove objects that are close to the wall such as hoses, lawn mower etc. It is important that we have access to an electrical outlet to connect the machines necessary to carry out the job.

What kind of services do we normally not provide?

Roof services, chimney, concrete services and We do not accept half service. For example, sometimes the client wants to change the siding and when we remove the old siding, we see that there are woods that need to be changed, if the client does not accept to do what has to be done, we simply don’t do it. We can’t cover something that’s broken with new siding and take responsibility for it.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my renovation?

We are aware that sometimes unexpected situations may present themselves. If we have already acquired the material, it will be your responsibility, you can keep it where it is convenient and we can reschedule the start of the service according to availability. If we have not yet purchased the material and you wish to cancel without a date, we can refund the amount in advance. In both cases, a $200 cancellation fee will be deducted from the amount already received.
